The president of so-called Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has signed a document by which it joined the Board of Peace set up by US President Donald Trump.

At a ceremony held in Davos, Osmani said that "alliance with America is the only way".

Vjosa Osmani posted a video of her arrival at the ceremony to join Trump's Board of Peace on social media.

A little later, she announced that "membership in international peace organizations led by a strategic ally of (so-called) Kosovo, like America, strengthens its sovereignty, international position and is in the highest interest of the (so-called) Republic of Kosovo".

She said that the document on joining the Board of Peace would be sent to the Assembly in Pristina, so that the deputies can ratify it.

The Board of Peace is a new international initiative proposed and formed by US President Donald Trump.

As reported by global media, this body is designed to "promote stability, manage end of conflicts and oversee reconstruction of war-affected areas, primarily the Gaza Strip, with the possibility of later expanding to other conflicts."

The structure of the body envisages that Trump remains its chairman for life, while members can sit on it for three years - or pay one billion dollars to become permanent members.
