Avalanche on Serbian mountain! Urgent warning issued to all skiers!

An important warning was sent recently from the Serbian ski center Brezovica to all skiers and snowboarders, in the wake of what is described as irresponsible behavior by some skiers who went outside the official marked ski trails, which caused an avalanche.

"Today, three irresponsible skiers went outside the official marked ski trails, triggering an avalanche. Two skiers moved away from the scene, while one with an injured leg remained at the top of the unmarked ski trail.

Thanks to the quick and professional intervention of ski rescuers from DP Inex Sarplanina Brezovica, the injured skier was safely transported to an ambulance.

With this act, the irresponsible individuals endangered their own lives, as well as the lives of the ski rescuers from the Ski Center Brezovica, who were exposed to additional risk during the intervention.

The police were informed about the incident.

We appeal on all skiers and snowboarders to follow the rules strictly and use only official, marked ski trails. Off-piste skiing puts the lives of skiers and ski rescuers at risk," reads the appeal posted on the "borzanionline" Instagram account.
