After yesterday's horrific fire in Dragana Rakica Street in Zemun, a municipality of Belgrade, in which six cars were destroyed, surveillance camera footage has been released that shows the arsonist and his actions.

The public is still upset after yesterday's incident that happened around 4 am, when a destructive fire broke out in an apartment block in Zemun. While the consequences of the fire that destroyed six vehicles and damaged the facade of a building were being established yesterday, new footage from surveillance cameras has appeared, shedding a whole new light on this crime.

Cold-blooded march with bucket in hand

In a video obtained by Telegraf, a masked man wearing black can be seen - despite video surveillance in the area - completely calmly carrying out his plan. With a balaclava on his head and a white bucket in hand, he went from one car to another, dousing them with flammable liquid.

The moment he set the fire the flames erupted in a plit second, engulfing a string of vehicles. What is very unsettling is the fact that the arsonist, after causing this chaos, calmly walked away from the crime scene.

Six cars and a facade

Luckily no one was injured in this attack, but residents in the building suffered huge material damage. Firefighting crews quickly localized the flames yesterday, preventing them from spreading to the apartments, but traces of soot and destroyed plastic on the facade remained as witnesses to the brazen attack.

Immediately after the incident, the police launched an investigation and are intensively searching for the man seen in the video. Citizens who have any information are urged to come forward.
