President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India Abhishek Shukla, and on that occasion emphasized the importance of traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and India, based on close ties established during the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

"I wished Ambassador Shukla a successful term in Serbia, convinced that with his engagement he will make a significant contribution to further improvement of overall relations between Serbia and India. During the conversation with Ambassador Shukla, I expressed Serbia's commitment to further development of comprehensive and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation with India, along with intensifying the political dialogue, as well as further increasing the volume of trade and services with India," Vucic stated in a post on Instagram.

He added that he particularly indicated Serbia's interest in providing an active contribution to responsible and ethical development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in cooperation with India as one of the global leaders in the IT sector, convinced that such a partnership will further strengthen relations between our countries in the new technological era.

"Serbia views India as a reliable and strategic partner when it comes to connecting innovation ecosystems, research centers and universities, as well as in the exchange of experts, knowledge and young talents, which represents a strong basis for long-term development and cooperation," stated President Vucic.
