US ambassador to Greece Guilfoyle praises meeting in Athens with PM Macut, held on Serbian Statehood Day
On the sidelines of his international activities in Athens, Prime Minister of Serbia Djuro Macut met with the US Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle.
After the meeting, Guilfoyle expressed satisfaction that she had the opportunity to meet with Serbia's prime minister, and mentioned the topics they discussed.
"I had the pleasure of meeting with Prime Minister of Serbia Djuro Macut on Serbian National Day (Statehood Day) here in Athens. We discussed our shared goals of energy independence and expanding energy connectivity across Europe, including through regional projects like the Greek-North Macedonia Pipeline," Ambassador Guilfolye posted on X.
PM Macut and Ambassador Guilfoyle pointed out after their meeting that better and closer connectivity in the region is needed and that there is willingness to contribute to that goal.
"We exchanged opinions on the energy situation in the region and on the stance of the US administration towards this part of Europe," Prime Minister Macut state afterwards, among other things.
