Belgrade Mayor Sapic: "I didn't hit the woman, I pushed her away in order to defend myself from her husband"
The mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Sapic, reacted last evening to reports that he participated in a physical altercation in New Belgrade.

"I don't want to take part in a performance for the media that is now being attempted by those who were bringing people to my house several times. And this time they tried to attack me, first verbally and then physically. When I asked them why they shared my home address on social media, brought people at my house and threatened me, they started attacking me," said Sapic.
He added that at one point, there was "a scuffle".
"There was a scuffle. I did not hit the woman, but pushed her away to defend myself from her husband. I've never been the first to attack anyone, nor have I ever hit a woman in my life. I've never gone in front of anyone's house (to protest), nor will I ever do that. But at the same time, I have never run away from anyone, nor will I run away, especially not from those who think that everything is allowed to them," said Sapic.
The Kreni Pokreni movement announced last evening on social networks that Sapic allegedly attacked Tanja Micic, a councilor from their ranks.
