New KFOR commander to take office

Italian Major General Roberto Vergori will take over command of KFOR on October 14, the NATO-led mission in Kosovo and Metohija announced today.

The ceremony of the changing of KFOR's 30th and 31st commanders will be held at the main headquarters of KFOR mission at Camp Film City in Pristina.
At the ceremony, Turkish Major General Ozkan Ulutas will hand over command of KFOR to Italian Major General Roberto Vergori.
The event will be presided over by Admiral George Wikoff, commander of NATO’s Joint Force Command Naples.
The ceremony will begin at 11:00 hours.
