Belgrade's High Court is likely to make a Final decision at the final hearing on friday , 27th of February ,on rehabilitating Dragoljub 'Draza' Mihajlovic, commander of the Yugoslavian national army, reports 'Danas' daily news.

The appeal demands the court to abandon the conviction from the 15th of July, 1946, by which Mihajlovic was convicted to death by firing squad , as well as he is to be given back his civil rights.

One of the Rehabilitation petitioners' deputies, Oliver Antic, who is also the President of Serbia's advisor, states that all the necessary terms have been fulfilled.

This media says that the additional indicator is the knowledge that the final decision may take place, and that the trial changes location to the big hall of the Palace of Justice.

It is possible that the court council will make its decision, but we cannot be sure of that.

- All the necessary conditions have been fulfilled. Furthermore, considering that the right to have the fair trial in the reasonable time period  and this trial is in progress for the last eight years, this prolongation has gone too far - said Antic.

Last year in September, the process was postponed indefinetely due to changes in the court counsel.

The process of rehabilitation began in 2006, at the initiative of his grandson Vojislav Mihajlovic, and the first hearing took place in 2010.

In the meantime, Serbian liberal party, lead by Kosta Cavoski, the Society of Yugoslav National army, the Society of Political Prisoners and Victims of the Communist regime, Professor of the International Law Smilja Avramov, joined the cause.
