Beast from Prijepolje will rule the world for 10 years: Serbia has a unique athletics gem!

Armin Sinancevic last year became a hit of Serbian and global athletics! The giant from Prijepolje, as they call Sinancevic, made a spectacular appearance last year in the finals of the World Outdoor Championships, won a ticket for the Olympic Games in Tokyo while breaking personal records by a large margin, and started the new year brilliantly when he became the national champion with a new national indoor record of 21.13 meters!

His coach, legendary shot-putter Dragan Peric, believes that this kind of talent has not appeared for a long time and is convinced that the national outdoor record, which he holds, will soon fall, too.

"Armin is an extraordinary talent that has appeared here after a long time. I'm sure my outdoor record will be broken already in the spring. Sinancevic is only 23 years old, he is very gifted, has not been spent, has not suffered any serious injuries. He is not very strong either, we have yet to work on strength and motor skills. In order to be equal with the best, he must gain strength and explosiveness. That's what we're working on," Peric told the daily Novosti.

He believes that Sinancevic's career will peak at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and that he will then rule the world for the next 10 years.

"I expect Armin's peak at the Olympic Games in Paris and to rule the world for ten years. He will attack gold in France. But we are also aware that there is no need to rush anywhere, to work hard, develop gradually. We agreed not to talk much, but to do the work," said Peric.

He noted that the construction of the Athletics Hall in Belgrade allowed for quality work and provided excellent conditions.

"Thanks to the Belgrade Athletics all we have excellent working conditions. However, the problem is the summer, because we don't yet know where to do the final preparations for Tokyo. It's imperative that we do this on a mountain which has a put-shot field, but also a good Olympic gym. These are necessary conditions for top results," said Sinancevic.
