Director of the Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases Dr. Goran Stevanovic told a news conference today that the number of coronavirus patients in Belgrade is rising again, and recalled that the capital is the biggest risk factor for the infection to flare up.

"The City of Belgrade is our largest population center and therefore the biggest risk factor for the infection to flare up again. Out of the total number of tested Belgraders, 1,843 samples were taken, 90 came back positive, which is an increase compared to the previous few days."

"This is not a concern yet, because it is within what is desired, but it only confirms once again that it's also important that, despite the softening of measures, we continue to apply the measure of distancing, and to make the use of protective equipment for a prolonged period of time is a habit in order for us to succeed in dealing with this and having as few victims as possible," said Stevanovic.

In the last 24 hours, another 6 people died from coronavirus, while it has been confirmed in 228 more of our fellow citizens.
