The Serbian Army, after the lifting of the state of emergency, is beginning to return to its regular activities, the Ministry of Defense announced today.

In accordance with yesterday's decision of the Serbian Assembly to end the state of emergency, the Serbian Army will begin to prepare appropriate plans for its disengagement and, in accordance with the orders of the supreme commander, will begin to return to its regular activities.

"The Serbian Army has fulfilled the orders of top state officials, fulfilled the orders of its commander-in-chief, gave its best to overcome this difficult time and state of emergency with the least consequences for the health and safety of all citizens of our country," said the Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin, after visiting engineering works at the Medja Military Complex.

Vulin says that the Serbian Army is now, in accordance with the decision of Supreme Commander Aleksandar Vucic and the Assembly ready to start disengaging and taking over its regular duties

The minister said that the Serbian Armed Forces once again proved how much they mean to their country.
