Immediately after the allegations were made in the media by the founder of the Tijana Juric Foundation about a politician and a public figure who is a pedophile, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade formed a case and summoned Igor Juric to provide more detailed information necessary for further action by the competent body. This is something Irena Bjelos, a spokeswoman for the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office, has told Telegraf.

"Based on the information obtained during the taking of the statement in a several-hour conversation with Igor Juric, no data was obtained on the basis of which the identity of the perpetrator of the serious criminal offense of child abuse from Article 180 of the Criminal Code could be determined, nor the identity of the minor against whom the act was perpetrated."

The victim was 13 years old at the time of the crime.

The Public Prosecutor's Office, for now, still does not have enough information necessary to initiate pre-trial proceedings.

The public will be informed in a timely manner about any further actions.

I told state institutions everything I know

After more than three hours spent at the prosecution, Juric gave a statement to the press:

"We presented everything we know to state institutions. I think that this important story has been turned into a reality program, which I do not want to happen, as far as I'm concerned, I will put an end to that. We don't want to make affairs out of any of the cases. If the interest of the child came first, there would not be such front pages," Juric stressed.

According to him, the goal of the foundation is for all criminals to be convicted, and he also stated that the Foundation will continue to work and will continue to fight.

The public pressure was created unnecessarily, Juric believes.

Asked about the name of the politician, Juric said that he could not provide that information.

"I have no right to now say all the things related to the case, we have said everything related to the case. It would be a criminal act to say anything more now than I am allowed to say," stated Juric.
