The epidemiological situation in Leskovac is unstable, and according to the director of the General Hospital in Leskovac, Nebojsa Dimitrijevic, the situation in that city is worse than four months ago. He said that 117 patients have been hospitalized due to coronavirus, of which as many as 20 were admitted yesterday.

"These are relatively young people with a severe clinical picture, they have double pneumonia and 60 percent of them are on oxygen," Doctor Dimitrijevic told RTS.

He said the hospital is operating at full capacity as a Covid hospital.

"We opened all the buildings, but the doctors' workload is huge. The weather's very hot, we're trying to replace doctors. We have 168 employees," he said.

Dimitrijevic once again appealed on everyone to respect anti-coronavirus measures and avoid mass gatherings:

"It should be the time of parties, weddings, celebrations... But, unfortunately, it's this way ... This too shall pass."
