The British company Mineco Limited continues to invest in the mining sector in Serbia by opening another lead and zinc mine in the Raska region, the company announced today.

This is about relaunching production of non-ferrous metal ore concentrates, which was once done in the Suva Ruda mine in Raska.

Mineco director Bojan Popovic says that the former mine, which was shut down and neglected by the previous owner, used to employ between 250 and 350 people from the Raska region and was a significant factor for the area's economic development.

Currently, independently or with partners, Mineco owns three active non-ferrous metal mines in Serbia.
