We watched how colleagues from other countries behaved and therefore took measures, including those adopted at today's meeting of the Crisis HQ, about the number of people allowed indoors, said a member of the Crisis HQ, Darija Kisic Tepavcevic.

"We decided to reduce the number of people who can gather in enclosed and open spaces, which used to be 30 and is now reduced to five people," she told a news conference.

Specifying what that practically means, she said that it's not just a recommendation, but an obligation that will be legally regulated.

"Just as the previous measure was regulated by law, so will this one. Not at the recommendation level. The ban refers to gatherings at public events, meaning celebrations, congresses, seminars. It concerns organized gatherings. It does not refer to the school and work environment," she stressed.

In such environments the obligation is to provide 4 square meters per person in the room, which would mean that the distance between people is 2 meters, and only then can it be considered safe, she explained.

"Up to 500 people can still be in theaters and cinemas, but there it is also prescribed, in every step, how citizens should behave and it has so far functioned flawlessly. It may take longer to enter the hall, exit after the show, for example, but it gives results," added Kisic Tepavcevic.

How will those who violate the measures be punished?

It takes 8 days from the adoption of the law for it to enter into force.

What Kisic Tepavcevic reminded us of is that now there is a possibility of imposing a mandatory, i.e. misdemeanor order, which inspectors will be able to impose on the spot in case of non-compliance with personal protection measures - 5,000 dinars for individuals and 300,000 for legal entities.
