Home Plus, which sells household supplies, has gone bankrupt, Telegraf Biznis has learned.

The company's accounts are blocked, contracts with shopping centers where they did business have been terminated due to accumulated debts, and no one is answering the company's phones.

As we have learned, the company has withdrawn from two well-known shopping centers in Belgrade almost overnight. Many consumers now find themselves in an unenviable position because they have been left without the products they ordered, and also without their money.

"I ordered a mattress on October 8, the delivery was 25 to 30 days, so no later than November 7. I went several times before that and they said that it was not them, but the mattress supplier. That they would call us. No one called, and the next time I went, it was closed," B.B. (30) who is now trying to get her money back, told Telegraf Biznis.

She is not the only one. However, nobody can get their money back until the official bankruptcy announcement.

"There must be a decision of the Commercial Court on initiating bankruptcy proceedings, and after that, the bankruptcy trustee is assigned, then the claim is submitted, which can be done by every customer and that is the only option for now," said Marko Dragic, a legal advisor with NOPS.

The Home plus site, however, remains up but carries no notification.
