Due to the growing number of infected people and deaths from coronavirus in Serbia, the Crisis HQ for the fight against coronavirus proposed the introduction of new measures, which the Government of Serbia should adopt at today's session. The decree on measures to prevent the infectious disease Covid 19 should enter into force on Friday, December 4.

The Decree states that in the period from December 4, 2020 until December 15, 2020, opening hours of facilities in which activities are performed in the field of retail trade (trade and other shops and points of sale), provision of services in the areas of hospitality, which include the sale of food and beverages (restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, rafts, etc.), provision of services in closed or open shopping centers and similar facilities in which activities are performed in the field of retail trade (shopping centers, markets etc.) and organizing special and classic games of chance (betting parlors, video game playrooms, etc.), as well as in facilities where the activity of providing craft and other services is performed in direct and long-term physical contact with the service user (beauty salons, hairdressing salons) be such that they can work from Monday to Friday from 5 am until 5 pm.

Activities in the field of culture that involve simultaneous presence of several people in the same space (theaters, cinemas, museums, galleries) and sports that involves simultaneous presence of several people in the same space or long-term direct contact with the user (fitness centers, gyms, spa centers, swimming pools and other facilities intended for sports and recreation, etc.) are limited so that these facilities can work on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 5 am until 5 pm.

Exempted from this restriction are: pharmacies, except for those in shopping centers for which the manager cannot provide special access corridors or which are not entered from the outside or directly from the public area, gas stations in the sale of fuel and trade, hospitality and other facilities that deliver food, which can work outside the opening hours specified in paragraph 1 of this article, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays;

Trade and other stores and points of sale where food products are sold, which can stay open until 9 pm, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays, are also exempted from the restrictions; but also theaters, cinemas, museums, galleries, which can work on Saturdays and Sundays;

Green markets can be open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 6 am until 3 pm. Fitness centers, gyms, gyms, spas, swimming pools and other facilities intended for sports and recreation can also operate - when used for the purpose of training and preparation of registered competitive sports.

All other stores, facilities and places (shoe repairs, tailors, carpenters, glass cutting, etc. stores, services, technical inspections, etc.) where services are provided in the performance of which the presence of the user is not mandatory or where the presence and contact is of limited duration, may they also work on Saturdays.

This decree shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication.

The Crisis HQ for the suppression of infectious disease COVID-19 at the session held on November 30 adopted a conclusion recommending that the Government change the regulation in order to harmonize opening hours with the complex epidemiological situation.

Current epidemiological situation in Serbia

A total of 191,356 confirmed cases of COVID 19 were registered in the Republic of Serbia by 3 pm on December 2, 2020.

Since the previous report, samples from 22,069 people were tested, of which 7,919 were positive.

There were a total of 270 patients on ventilators.

A total of 1,822,488 people were tested in the Republic of Serbia.

Another 52 people died as a result of coronavirus.

The total number of deaths since the beginning of the epidemic is 1,704.

Currently, a total of 7,611 patients are hospitalized who have been confirmed as positive, or are suspected of having coronavirus.
