President Vucic a posts video from Hilandar monastery: "I am reinvigorated to fight for our Serbia"

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, published a documentary film on his Instagram account about his Christmas trip to Mt. Athos (in Greece, the location of the Serbian Orthodox Monastery Hilandar).

"It was elevating to be a guest of the Hilandar monastery and the monastic brotherhood brothers on Christmas (Jan. 7), the happiest Orthodox holiday. I learned a lot and saw a lot, but, I believe, I also got reenergized and received new and special strength to fight for our Serbia - for Serbia to be more successful, even stronger, to protect our national interests," said a post on Instagram.

The president of Serbia stayed in the Hilandar Monastery for the Christmas holidays, where he was welcomed by the abbot, Archimandrite Methodije and a large number of monks.

In honor of the Serbian president - the first in 20 years to be officially hosted by the Hilandar monks - three flags were displayed at the entrance to the monastery: the Serbian, the Greek and that of Hilandar itself, which is done only on big holidays and to welcome the highest guests.
