President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic chaired a session of the state leadership and the Operational Team for Vaccination.

"Today we have one of the most important meetings for the future and for life of Serbia. We need to make decisions about vaccination and survival in the progress of the country and our citizens. Vaccination is of crucial importance for Serbia, and without it we will never beat coronavirus.

Not only in the health and the medical sense, but also in the economic sense, we will bring the country to the brink of ruin," said the president and announced that more 250,000 doses of the Sputnik vaccine should arrive in Serbia today or tomorrow.

"Today or tomorrow we should receive another 250,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine, 200,000 first and 50,000 second doses. We will sign a trilateral agreement with Poland and AstraZeneca to get 800,000 vaccines via Warsaw, and we expect that in Serbia soon."

Vucic said that all ministries should try to vaccinate everyone as soon as possible.
