15-year-old boy DJ.K. died after he was seriously injured in an accident that happened last Saturday near the Railway Station in Podgorica as a result of severe burns he suffered from an electric shock, reports Roditelji.me.

According to earlier information reported by Vijesti, the boy climbed onto the wagon where the electric shock occurred, and after the doctors at the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) provided him with initial treatment, he was urgently transported to Belgrade.

The Parents Association said that this accident was only one in a series that happened in the same place, which is why, as they say they asked the Railway Infrastructure, Maintenance of Railway Vehicles, the Railway Administration of Montenegro, the Ministry of Capital Investments of Montenegro and the captital city to do everything in their power to prevent such situations from happening again.

"We are aware that responsibility lies primarily with the children and us parents who should warn them of the danger, but the responsibility of competent institutions and companies in additionally protecting and fencing these areas cannot be ignored, given that currently citizens can move there freely," the organization stated in a letter.
