Vucic wishes happy Easter to Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar and believers

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today sent Easter greetings to the Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar and to all Christian believers who celebrate Easter according to the Gregorian calendar.

"I cordially congratulate to you and all believers the greatest Christian holiday, Easter," Vucic said, adding:

Let the joy of life be an inexhaustible inspiration to, in a time of great challenges facing humanity and Serbia, we can work together, strengthening the greatest human values ​​of peace, forgiveness and tolerance , building bridges of mutual trust and understanding, in order to together contribute to general progress."

In congratulating the holiday, the president pointed out that "you will always have a permanent partner and interlocutor in the Republic of Serbia and its state bodies, in resolving all issues so that we can all jointly contribute to the progress of our state."

Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic has also sent congratulations and said that the difficult health situation, which affected our country as well as the whole world, taught us how important unity, tolerance and mutual support are.

She stressed that the pandemics has shown us that caring for our loved ones and the help we have unreservedly given to each other are the right path to creating a safer and better society in which we live.

"We welcome this great Christian holiday with optimism and firm faith in life and true values ​​woven into the foundations on which our society rests. On my own behalf and on behalf of the members of the government of Serbia, I wish you to spend the coming days in good health, surrounded by love and spiritual peace," the prime minister's message said.
