Golden Olympians return to Belgrade: Water polo players sing, chants for Jovana at the airport

Karateka Jovana Prekovic and the men's water polo team of Serbia, winners of gold medals at the Olympic Games, arrived in Belgrade from Tokyo on Tuesday morning!

The water polo players appeared first in front of numerous fans and media crews, and immediately ended up in the arms of their families, and then emotionally sang two songs tht alluded to the fact that as many as seven of them are saying goodbye to the national team.

Their singing was interrupted by the appearance of Jovana Prekovic, because the water polo players themselves started to applaud her, while the fans chanted her name and sang, "You took the gold, Jovana."

As for the fans, members of the Knjaz Karate Club from Arandjelovac were the most noticeable. Arandjelovac is the hometown of the Olympic champion.

The Serbian Olympians, who won nine medals at the Olympics in Tokyo, will be welcomed in front of the Old Palace in Belgrade tonight at 9 pm, and it is worth mentioning that, together with Olympic champions, the women's basketball team, who finished fourth at the Games, also returned home today. Needless to say, they also received a thunderous applause.
