Woman from Serbia tries to sell child in Montenegro for 500 euros

The suspect, D.H., is being detained for up to 72 hours

D.H. (38), from Serbia, has been arrested in Podgorica on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of trafficking in human beings, to the detriment of a minor female person from Novi Pazar.

"It is suspected that D.H. committed this crime by illegally entering the territory of Montenegro near Rozaje on September 16, together with a minor victim whom she intended to sell for the amount of 500 euros to S.H. from Podgorica, for the purpose of marriage," the police said in a statement.

The competent prosecutor with the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica ordered D.H. detained. She was brought before the acting prosecutor who set her detention for up to 72 hours.
