Last night, police inspectors from Nis and Aleksinac entered the exchange office in Majora Milana Tepica Street, owned by Goran Djokic (57) from Aleksinac, who disappeared without a trace on Sunday along with his wife Gordan (56) and daughter Lidija (25).

For now, there is no information whether something was found there that would shed light on their fate, and the search in Aleksinac and its surroundings will continue today.

The Djokics were last seen on Sunday, when they left the village of Moravac where they had dinner with Goran's mother, on their way to Aleksinac, where they live. Their black Volkswagen Passat was filmed by a surveillance camera at a car wash, near the bridge in Zitkovac - and from that moment on, both the vehicle and the three-member family seem0 to have disappeared from the face of the earth.

One thing is certain, the Djokics did not travel anywhere, which is what their loved ones hoped had happened, because they would have certainly contacted them after the media reports about their disappearance. Their family and friends fear the worst, but an intensive search on the ground has so far given no reason to suspect that such a fate has befallen them. The diving unit of the Gendarmerie searched Lake Bovan yesterday, but we were told that the rule is to check the water surfaces during a search for missing persons. There was no trace in the lake either of the Volkswagen Passat driven by Djokic, or of any member of the family.

Their neighbor who spoke with Gordana the day before the disappearance confirmed that the Djokics did not plan to travel anywhere, as do the relatives who claim that they would call for sure.

"We saw each other that morning, I offered my condolences because her mother passed away a few months ago. She invited me over to have coffee that afternoon, to chat. There was no mention of any travel, nor did I notice anything unusual in her behavior," said this woman from Aleksinac.

Yesterday, the family's apartment was searched in detail in the presence of Goran's mother Stojanka and sister-in-law Verica, but there is no indication that the Djokics left for a trip. The relatives of this family are deeply affected, because they are increasingly losing hope that this mystery will have a positive outcome.

As we have learned, the police did not receive any calls after they appealed for help in the search.
