Condition of attacked health worker from Leskovac revealed: He has stab wound in middle of stomach

L.P. (23), an employee of the Healthcare Center in Leskovac, was stabbed last night while he was returning from work in a Covid hospital.

According to confirmations arriving from his family, he was intercepted by two young men in Svetoilijska Street. One of them struck him out of the blue, while the other stabbed him with a knife.

"It is a stab wound in the middle of the abdomen, in the area of the bladder, but the bladder has not been not damaged. He underwent surgery, has a drain and is in a stable condition, out of life danger," Nebojsa Dimitrijevic, director of the Leskovac General Hospital, told Telegraf.rs.

He added that the surgery was performed immediately after the admission of the patient.

The doctors were fighting to save the young man's life during the night.

The police are looking for the perpetrator.
