Professor Kocovic again moves date when Serbia will have 1,000 new cases: "Decline according to all criteria"

Professor Dr. Petar Kocovic, an expert in information technology, says that the war with coronavirus is not over yet, but that he agrees with foreign scientists who are announcing a drop in the numbers of Omicron infections.

He explains that a magazine that presented this opinion believes that the numbers will start to fall, that countries will be lifting Covid measures, after which the virus will return at the end of the summer, to a much lesser extent than the current situation.

"We are in a (numbers) decline on the 11th day. There are fewer people getting tested, but there are also fewer infected. Around February 25, we will be reaching the level of 1,000 daily cases," Kocovic predicted, speaking for Pink.

He added that the Delta variant is still present, but its virulence is also declining.

"We are declining according to three criteria, and we will continue in that direction," says Kocovic.

Speaking about the rest of Europe, Kocovic stressed that the numbers have never been worse, but that the number of infected people is slowly declining everywhere.

"We have very high numbers, the infection rate is extremely high. The Faroe Islands is the worst, they are breaking world records. One in 20 citizens is infected. Israel, which also has the 4th dose (of the vaccine), is highly infected, Denmark is fifth, Slovenia sixth," Kocovic said.

"Among the bigger European countries, Portugal is doing the best when it comes to vaccinations, followed by Austria, Germany, Spain...," he added.

As Kocovic explains, the vaccine no longer works, unless we have been revaccinated.

Kocovic notes that it is almost certain that many countries will be lifting Covid measures.

"The picture will stabilize a little," Kocovic explains.
