Three, two, one - it starts!

The World Athletics Indoor Championships started on Friday in New Belgrade's Arena, and since early in the morning, fans of the Queen of Sports rushed to witness the all-day competition of elite world athletes.

These are the scenes recorded by the Telegraf reporter: both old and young gathered in front of the entrance to the largest venue in the Balkans to complete the spectacle.

Without a doubt, a great day for Serbia, for Serbian sports, for Serbian athletics.

As the president of the Athletics Federation of Serbia, Veselin Jevrosimovic, has said, the World Athletics Championships is one of the biggest competitions ever held in our country.

"Over 130 competitors have announced their participation, we have over 100 competitors from abroad from 34 countries, this will be one of the biggest competitions held in Serbia. We have finished all preparations, so only the technical and organizational part remains."
