Director of the Institute of Public Health (IJZ ) Igor Galic said today that the Council of the Government of Montenegro has adopted measures in the fight against coronavirus, which will be valid from April 8 to 22.

"As of today, wearing masks is mandatory only in health institutions, collective accommodation facilities, public transport. Wearing masks in all other facilities remains a recommendation," Galic told a press conference at which the epidemiological situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic was presented.

He added that the limit on the number of people allowed to be present at public gatherings is being lifted.

"All other measures remain in force," he said.

Galic said that if an unfavorable trend is noticed, there will be immediate reaction and these measures will be revised before April 22.

"We believe in the responsibile approach of our citizens and we hope that there will be no need for such a move," he said, reports Vijesti.

Galic said that the number of new cases was lower by about nine percent compared to the previous two weeks.

"Also, the number of deaths is lower by 18.2 percent compared to the previous two weeks," said the director of Montenegro's IJZ.
