MUP: Darko Saric arrested in EUROPOL and EUROJUST operation, crimes committed in South America and Europe

Members of several organized criminal groups have been arrested in an international operation coordinated by EUROPOL and EUROJUST, in which the police forces of Croatia and Serbia took part.

In Serbia, members of the Interior Ministry (MUP), the Criminal Police Directorate, the Organized Crime Service, the Internal Control Sector, the Belgrade City Police Administration, the SAJ and the Gendarmerie, in cooperation with the Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office and the BIA, arrested five members of an organized crime group that has operated in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, Europe, and South America.

D.S., who is suspected as the organizer of the said organized criminal group and its members of D.L., D.O., U.R., and D.M. have been arrested, while other members are being intensively searched for.

They are suspected with committing criminal acts of association in order to commit a crime, aggravated murder, illicit production and distribution of narcotics, illicit production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosives, causing general danger, and abuse of official position.
