Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic said last night that the conversation in the Presidency with the representatives of Stellantis workers could continue on Monday and added that they presented to the management of that factory that 12 employees were declared redundant even though they had applied for work abroad, which she believes is not fair.

Brnabic said that she knows every number and detail from the story about Stellantis, that she wants all the workers to be protected, for the families to know every detail, in accordance with the agreement from last Saturday.

She added that 492 workers received severance payment of 790 euros for each year of service at Fiat, or 500 euros for those who previously worked for Zastava.

She added that out of 492 workers who were declared redundant, 12 had applied for work abroad.

"That is the decision of Stellantis, we brought it to the attention of the management, I think that was not fair, I cannot influence that decision," said Brnabic.

"I think the next meeting will be tomorrow (Monday) at the Presidency, people from my cabinet will be there to talk to trade unions, the most important thing is that people know where they stand, that they can freely decide what to do, that we support them. It's important that we start producing electric cars as soon as possible," Brnabic said, reports Tanjug.

She added that production of electric cars is planned for the fourth quarter of 2024, while a test model will be manufactured by the first quarter.

"The more people who go abroad, the Stellanis team will be more compact and we will be able to enter production much faster," the prime minister told TV Pink.
