A helicopter from the Helicopter Service of the Serb Republic (RS) was deployed this morning in the area of the Bijela Gora Mountain near Trebinje, where a pine forest is burning, while the arrival of two helicopters from Serbia is expected around 10 am, said the commander of the Territorial Fire Department from that town, Zdravko Kasikovic.

He added that they are installing a mobile pool in another location, so that members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia will have everything ready to start working.

Kasikovic told RTRS that the helicopter from the Helicopter Service of the RS will operate as long as it can.

He sadd that this morning the fire line was completely covered in smoke, and that they could not assess its actual length, but that it was certainly longer than 20 kilometers.

"We saved people and their homes, but unfortunately we didn't manage to save our wonderful nature, because a large conifer forest has burned down," Kasikovic said.
