Patients in Covid hospital in Batajnica have moderate symptoms: 240 people are currently hospitalized there

Patients admitted to the Covid hospital in Batajnica have mostly medium difficult clinical symptoms, said the director of this health institution, Tatjana Adzic Vukicevic.

"They have medium clinical pictures, not as regards Covid itself, but the associated diseases. We have to keep in mind that these are fellow citizens of an older age," Adzic told RTS.

She previously stated that 240 patients are currently hospitalized in this hospital, and that they are in eight units of semi-intensive care and one unit of intensive care.

She said that 54 nurses, mostly from the Belgrade area, arrived at this Covid hospital on Monday in order to help out.

She agreed with epidemiologists who expect that there will be an increase in the number of Covid-positive cases on a daily basis, which in her opinion will lead to an increased number of hospitalizations.

"We are ready to respond to all possible future challenges," said Adzic Vukicevic.

The youngest patient in the Batajnica hospital is 29, and the oldest is 96 years old.
