Ana Brnabic was welcomed by thousands of Serbs, while Kurti was welcomed only by members of Rosu (police unit) - said Petkovic

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, assessed that the visit of the prime minister of the provisional institutions in Pristina Albin Kurti to the north of Kosovo and Metohija was aimed at causing tensions, provocations and instability.

The Office quoted Petkovic as saying that the success of Prime Minister Ana Brnabic's visit to the southern Serbian province is best evidenced in the fact that the very next day, Albin Kurti also hurried to the north of Kosovo and Metohija to get photographed there.

"The only thing is, Ana Brnabic was enthusiastically welcomed by thousands of Serbs, while Kurti had to secretly sneak around the north of our province, so that no Serb would accidentally run across him, and the only ones who welcomed him were members of Rosu," said Petkovic.

He added that this speaks the best to the fact that Kurti has nothing to look for in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, and that his only intention is to cause tensions, provocations and instability, "with an obsessive desire to take pictures for social networks."

The Office said that "there is no doubt that Kurti remembered well how the Serb people unequivocally showed him that he had nothing to look for in the north of Kosovo and Metohija when he last publicly tried to step into a Serb area."

"That's why now he has to sneak around and 'bravely' film himself, to convince himself that he really was in the north," said Petkovic.

Petkovic assessed that it is "good that Kurti watched carefully the visit of the prime minister of Serbia to Kosovska Mitrovica, Zvecan and Leposavic, because he could in that way learn how to send messages of peace, democracy and stability, and who is the only one the Serbs accept as their prime minister."
