16 new councilors were sworn in today in the North Mitrovica Municipal Assembly, only one of whom is a Serb, Dusan Milunovic from the "GI Srpski Opstanak" list.

In the presence of numerous members of the Kosovo police, a session of the assembly was held in the municipal building in North Mitrovica, where the newly appointed councilors were sworn in and Nedzat Ugljanin was elected as president.

Thus, the municipality of North Mitrovica has effectively been taken over by the Albanians, after representatives of the Serb List left (Pristina's) institutions, and then the election commision made a decision to appoint Albanians as councilors, writes the daily Novosti.
