Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic says that in many regional media, one can read that Aleksandar Vucic is interfering in the elections in Montenegro, and yet he has never commented on the subject.

In response to questions during her statements to the media after the meeting with Prime Minister of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovacevski, she said that many other politicians from the region have named their favorites in the presidential elections in Montenegro.

"I saw in several places in the regional press that Aleksandar Vucic interfered in the election process in Montenegro. To be honest, he did not say a single word about those elections. However, many other regional politicians directly supported a certain candidate. Albin Kurti, for example, he openly supported Milo Djukanovic. And that's fine with everyone and nobody says anything, but Aleksandar Vucic is somehow interfering in the election process," said Brnabic.

She considers it an incredible fact that Denis Becirovic, a member of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, recorded a video of support for Milo Djukanovic, who is one of the two candidates in the second round of the presidential elections in Montenegro, which will be held on Sunday.

"So, a member of the presidency of a country records a video to support a presidential candidate in another, just a few days before the vote. It would never, ever occur to me to record a video and support a presidential candidate in any country except Serbia. I would consider that as an insult to that other country and all its citizens", the prime minister was clear.

Finally, she underlined that it is her responsibility to clearly state these facts, although many media outlets in the region are painting a completely different picture.

"Citizens of Montenegro can and should see what the stance of Serbia and its government representatives is towards their election process, and what is the stance of some others. What is hypocritical is that no one said a single word to those others, but as always, Aleksandar Vucic is to blame for everything", concluded Brnabic.
