President of the Government Commission for Missing Persons Veljko Odalovic told Tanjug today that the fulfillment of Serbia's demands to release the arrested Serbs, withdraw the Kosovo special police from the north of Kosovo and Metohija, and to form the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) is necessary and is a good basis for returning to dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

"I don't know what these meetings lead to anymore and how meaningful they are, because obviously the authority of those who invite President Vucic and Albin Kurti is such that we cannot expect anything. Again, it will be another, I deeply believe, failed and empty meeting" he concluded.

Odalovic says that President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic must act responsibly and that his decision to talk to EU High Representative Josep Borell and EU Special Representative for Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak is something that will be another attempt to call on them to reason with Albin Kurti, so that everything that is expected could yield some results and so that everything that has been agreed could be implemented.

He remarked that it is necessary to fulfill the demands of Serbia to release the arrested Serbs, withdraw the Kosovo special police from the north of Kosovo and to form the ZSO, because these are the preconditions that could restore the situation to what it was before the escalation of this conflict, and to implement the assumed obligations, which Kurti is clearly not ready to do.

Odalovic added that the fulfillment of all demands would be a good solution, remedying the existing situation in Kosovo and Metohija and a good basis for returning to dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

He believes that there are many whom it suits for Serbia not to participate in the proceedings and investigation into the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, because Serbia can have much interest and can do a lot when it comes to the investigation.

A lot of evidence has been collected, he said, but points out that it is obvious that it does not suit Pristina and some international centers, to close this story, because the possible discovery of the killer would lead to the mastermind, and the mastermind, he believes, is absolutely certainly someone who has "a deeply political background."
