President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic continues his visit to the Serb Republic (RS) today, where he will attend a commemoration as part of Day of Remembrance of the killed and exiled Serbs during Croatia's 1995 "Operation Storm," which is being held in Prijedor, writes Tanjug.

Before noon, Vucic will lay a wreath at the memorial on Petovacka Cesta (Petrovac Road), where a convoy of Serb refugees was shelled on August 7, 1995.

After that, the Council for Cooperation between Serbia and the RS will be held, and the plan is to sign an agreement on the construction of two memorial centers dedicated to the victims of Jasenovac (Croatia's WW2 death camp) - one in Gradina, the other in Belgrade.

This will be followed by statements to the media from Vucic and RS President Milorad Dodik.

According to announcements from the RS, presidents of the National Assemblies of Serbia and RS, Vladimir Orlic and Nenad Stevandic, as well as Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and her RS colleague Radovan Viskovic, will have meetings.

Vucic started his visit to the RS yesterday with a meeting with Dodik and Serbian Orthodox Patriarch Porfirije in the Osovica monastery in the municipality of Srbac.

They discussed national issues such as Kosovo and Metohija, but also US sanctions against the RS leadership.

Together with Dodik and Zeljka Cvijanovic, Vucic visited the "Srbija" ("Serbia") kindergarten, which is being built with funds from the governments of Serbia and the RS.

Vucic said yesterday that the interest of the Serb people in Serbia and in the RS is to preserve peace, and also that Serbia does not renounce its people in the RS and that it will continue to help economically.

Since 2014, Serbia has invested more than one billion euros in the RS.

Vucic will end his visit to the RS in Prijedor, where Remembrance Day will be marked this evening.
