Danijela Dalinski from Novi Knezevac has never forgotten one scene from her childhood. Stepfather Stevan was teaching her to ride a bicycle in front of the house. However, small and clumsy at the time, she fell when she realized that Stevan was not holding her, and then they hugged and cried together. Few people can forget such love and compassion, and when Danijela's mother and Stevan parted ways, unfortunately, she also had to part with her "guardian angel" convinced that she would never see him again.

Nevertheless, even 30 years later, Danijela had not stopped remembering her stepfather's warm smile, hugs and the security he provided her, and, she tells Telegraf.rs, she began tirelessly looking for him, not knowing which part of the world he was in and whether he even wanted to hear from her.

"My mother and Stevan lived together for 6 years. When they started living together, I was 2 years old. He always treated me well and I have fond memories of him. I remember when he was teaching me to ride a bike, he made sure I didn't fall and when he thought I could do it on my own, he let go, I did two laps, but when I realized he wasn't holding me I immediately fell, and he cried together with me. Some time after they parted ways, he came to see me, I was playing in front of our building with the children, when he crouched in front of me and said: 'Daca, I came to see you, can I hug you?' I remember a lot of nice things about him and I decided to look for him. I've been looking for him for 30 years," our interlocutor tells us.

Danijela tried everything, from the show "All for Love" to various groups on social networks. However, one day the wait paid off. In the comments below her post, in which she described her situation, the Facebook profile of Stevan Molnar appeared, and she immediately knew that it was the same man who had shared both tears and laughter with her.

"Immediately on the first day, the post had a huge number of comments and they posted a picture of the man they thought was him. As soon as I opened the picture I knew it was him, because it was a photo of him from the army, from his younger days, so there was no doubt. He changed his profile picture this year, and I stopped looking for him on Facebook because I had been doing it for years and there were no results. I immediately sent a friend request and in the message a picture of us together from a birthday party of mine, the message was not read for three days," says Danijela.

On the fourth day, the eagerly awaited answer arrived. A mix of emotions, happiness, excitement... The first call followed, and then the conversation she had been dreaming about for more than three decades.

"I received a message with the following content: 'Hello Danijela, or Daca as your mother, grandmother and I called you'. My heart was jumping for joy, I couldn't believe that it was really him, that I had finally found him. He immediately called me on a video call and said, 'Is it possible, Daca, that we meet?' He started to cry, I told him that he shouldn't cry because this is a reason for happiness, but when he said one thing, tears came to me too. I asked him where he lives, how many children he has... He answered that he lives in France and has five children in all. Since I saw four children in the pictures, I asked him again, 'Four or five?' He answered: 'Four in France and you in Serbia, because I always considered you my child and you remained in my heart.' I cannot describe how I felt at that moment, I was very happy, and at the same time I couldn't believe that this was really happening," Danijela says excitedly.

However, when she found out that Stevan was at that moment only 30 kilometers away from her, she knew it was fate. It wasn't long before they met again, and then she met his family.

"He was waiting for me in front of the house. When I arrived we hugged each other tightly and that feeling cannot be described, it is something that only those who have felt it can understand. I only managed to say, "Is this really us?' I was also welcomed by his wife, who is an extremely kind and pleasant person, they welcomed me very nicely. We spent a beautiful day together, we said sorry for everything we haven't done in the past 30 years, and so many things happened with him and me. Time flew by quickly, and later they also visited my mother," she tells us.

One day Stevan visited Danijela's hometown, walking around and reminiscing about all the beautiful memories he kept in his heart, and just a few days later, Danijela went to his new home - in France. Then she experienced a scene that brought her back to her childhood.

"One night before going to bed, he came to my room to bring me a piece of cake, he kissed me on the head and wished me good night, these may be small things for someone who has had a father in their life, but for me it is something big, something that brings joy. He was a stepfather, but he is much more to me than my own father who left me when I was a baby. Stevan was abandoned by his own mother in a barn when he was a baby, and after that he was adopted by people from Subotica, but he never lost his soul and compassion," explains our interlocutor.

Danijela and Stevan are now sure that they will never lose touch again. They jealously guard their happiness and hear from each other every day. She says she is now sure that miracles are possible, it is only necessary to believe in them.

"We came to the same conclusion - that from now on our hearts beat more calmly, but also more joyfully. The fight lasted until success, I didn't give up and here we are today, together," Danijela tells us.
