"There are 14 months left until the construction of the high-speed railway between Novi Sad and Subotica is completed. The Chinese and domestic contractors working on this historic work have introduced a night shift so that the work will be completed as promised - by the end of 2024," Goran Vesic, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure wrote early this morning.

As he further stated, "with the completion of the high-speed railway between Novi Sad and Subotica, the length of which is 108 kilometers, along with the existing high-speed railway from Belgrade to Novi Sad, Serbia will have 183 kilometers of high-speed railways by the end of next year."

He also pointed out that it is the most, in the region.

This summer 216 pieces of rail elements arrived from China, each 50 meters long, with a total weight of about 650 tons.

The high-speed railway Novi Sad-Subotica is the third section of the railway for high speeds of 200 kilometers per hour running through Serbia, from Belgrade to the northern border with Hungary.

The contractor is the Chinese consortium China Railway International and China Communications Construction Company.
