Petkovic: "Usurpation of Rajska Banja is blatant theft of private property of Serbian Orthodox Church"

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said today, regarding the usurpation of the Rajska Banja spa in Zvecan, that this is a blatant theft of private property of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC).

"We have also witnessed in the last days in the municipality of Zvecan broad daylight robbery of the private property of the SPC, the most important complex, Rajska Banja. That complex is one of the most significant investments by the Government of Serbia and the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, in order to improve that area, provide young people and others with dozens of jobs, and offer treatment to thousands of patients.

And then someone shows up and says, 'it's not yours, it's ours'. How can it be yours when you didn't build it, you were never there, you don't have a single document," Petkovic stressed during a conference on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the "Free Legal Aid" project.

He assessed that this is the true reflection of the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija - of acts of legal violence and revenge against the Serb people.
