Police in Surdulica, in cooperation with the Regional Border Police Center at the border with Bulgaria, have arrested V.F. (31) and N.R.M. (20), citizens of Romania, for illegal border crossing and people smuggling.

The police found eight Moroccan citizens, three of them in the car itself and five in the trunk of an Opel with Romanian license plates driven by V.F., while N.R.M. was in the passenger seat.
By order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Vranje, the suspects were detained for up to 48 hours after which they will be brought before a prosecutor along with a criminal complaint.
