White House spokesperson reacts: Vucic was not "blocked" from Trump's Florida residence

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt has categorically denied reports that US President Donald Trump's chief of staff, Susie Wiles, prevented Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic from attending any Mar-a-Lago event.

During previous days, some media outlets claimed that Wiles prevented Vucic from entering the Trump estate in Florida. However, now Leavitt spoke exclusively for The Pavlovic Today portal, which writes that there was "no snub, no block, no scandal."

"The Chief of Staff did not ‘block’ him (Vucic) from attending any event at Mar-a-Lago. That is fake news," Leavitt is quoted as saying.

Vucic was in Florida where he was expected to meet with the US president. He previously met with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and publicly expressed his hope of reaching an economic deal with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, in the context of Trump's tariffs.

But the Serbian president was suddenly taken ill, after which he canceled the rest of the visit and returned to Serbia. US doctors reportedly urged him to stay in Florida, but Vucic decided to immediately fly home.

Belgrade's Military Medical Academy (VMA) clinic doctors later stated that he had experienced a hypertensive episode, that is, a sudden increase in blood pressure and chest pain.
