Head coach Svetislav Pesic reveals Serbia's EuroBasket squad, that includes Nikola Jokic!

The head coach of the Serbian men's national basketball team, Svetislav Pesic, has picked 17 candidates for the squad that will compete at the European Championship (EuroBasket) in 2025, and the list includes Nikola Jokic.

The players selected by Pesic are: Aleksa Avramovic, Stefan Jovic, Vasilije Micic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Marko Guduric, Uros Trifunovic, Nikola Topic, Ognjen Dobric, Vanja Marinkovic, Dejan Davidovac, Nikola Jovic, Filip Petrusev, Nikola Jokic, Nikola Milutinov, Tristan Vukcevic, Balsa Koprivica and Alen Smailagic.

Pesic's assistants will be Oliver Kostic, Ognjen Stojakovic, Marko Marinovic, Nenad Jakovljevic, and Mihajlo Mitic. Fitness coaches are Marko Sekulic, Marko Stanojevic, Fedja Sretenovic, and Stefan Radoicic.

Our national team will gather on July 28 in Belgrade, when preparations for the championship will start. The base during the first part of the preparatory period will be Stara Pazova, while the first two friendly matches, against Bosnia and Herzegovina on August 5 and Poland on August 6, will be played in the Belgrade Arena - but behind closed doors.

Serbia is also set to participate in two preparatory tournaments - in Cyprus on August 9 and 10 together with the hosts, Greece, and Israel, and in Munich with German, Turkish and Czech teams on August 15 and 16.

At the end of that period, Serbia will play against Slovenia on August 21 in the Belgrade Arena.

The European Championship will be played from August 27 to September 14 in Latvia, Finland, Poland, and Cyprus.

The Serbian national team will compete in Group A along with Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Turkey and the Czech Republic, and will play the matches in this phase of the competition in Riga.
