Dolovac: Corruption is being investigated

In February, after analyzing evidence and facts collected by that point by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office (VJT) in Novi Sad and the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office, in connection with the possible commission of several criminal offenses involving elements of corruption in the course of undertaking all the actions of starting, planning, designing, executing works and putting into use the Novi Sad Railway Station - while not limiting its activity to other actions and events that can be shown to be related to the above - made a decision to submit the case files to the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (TOK).

"This decision was made because the established factual situation indicates a well-founded suspicion that criminal acts have been committed that fall under the jurisdiction of the state authorities responsible for organized crime and terrorism," it was announced at the time.

The Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office also stated back then that the process of determining responsibility for the loss of life during the fall of the canopy of the Novi Sad Railway Station, led by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad, was continuing, independently and with the highest level of priority, and that they expected an indictment against 13 persons to come into force soon.

"The public will be continuously informed about further steps and actions that will be taken by the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime. The Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac is using this opportunity to invite representatives of student protests to discuss meeting their demands that are under the jurisdiction of the Public Prosecutor's Office," the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office said at the time.
