Indictment confirmed against monsters from Backi Petrovac who kept people as slaves

The Appellate Court in Novi Sad has confirmed the indictment charging D.A. (29) and K.P. (28) from Backi Petrovac with keeping several victims enslaved and forcing them to work over a period of four years.

According to the indictment filed by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Zrenjanin, the suspects are accused of committing a prolonged criminal offense of human trafficking, it has been announced on the website of that prosecutor's office.

It is suspected that from June 2019 until December 2023, they used force and threats, misleading and abusing their victims' difficult circumstances, as well as withholding their personal documents, to keep them with the aim of exploiting them for forced labor and commission of criminal acts.
