Mural dedicated to Charlie Kirk in Belgrade city centre: There is a special message next to it!
In the heart of Belgrade, on a pillar of the Gazela bridge, a mural dedicated to the murdered American activist Charlie Kirk has appeared, but with the inscription "Charlie Kirkovich."
The change of the surname of the American conservative, patriotically oriented activist who also collaborated with US President Donald Trump is not accidental.
Namely, Kirk often had contact with Serbs in his native Illinois. On one occasion, he revealed that he had played basketball with a Serbian team.
"I have a soft spot for Serbs, they are great," he used to say.
"I played with a Serbian basketball team. Our team name was 'Illinois White Eagles'," he said.
"Everyone on the team was Serbian except me. And somehow, I felt like I was from the Balkans."
Thus, on the mural, Kirk, Serbianized into Kirković, is presented in the "White Eagles" jersey.
Kirk was brutally murdered on September 10th while giving a speech at a university in Utah.
