Aleksandar Vucic congratulates Viktor Orban on organizing meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin

President Aleksandar Vucic has congratulated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on having the opportunity to organize a meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Budapest.

"I spoke with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, whom I congratulated on organizing a major peace meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

I wished him much success and expressed my confidence in the impeccable organization of this historic event.

We also discussed improvement of bilateral relations and agreed to meet in the next seven days," Vucic wrote on his Instagram account.

After the telephone conversation with Putin yesterday, Trump told journalists that he will meet with his Russian counterpart in Budapest in two weeks' time at the latest, in order to once again try and reach agreement on ending the war in Ukraine.
