Brutal murder in central Leskovac: Julija Nikolic was stabbed 13 times by her partner, in front of passers-by

Julija Nikolic (53) was brutally murdered on Monday in the central part of the town of Leskovac. Her life was taken by her emotional partner Dragisa R. (64) from Lebane, who, as the autopsy showed, stabbed her with a knife as many as 13 times!

The number of stab wounds indicated that Dragisa R. was determined to murder the woman, and all they were all inflicted to the front side of the body, which means that the victim was looking at her killer in the last moments of her life.

Stabs to her vital organs resulted in Julija Nikolic's death, while she also had a large number of other wounds.

According to eyewitnesses, the woman was brutally murdered when a man she was running away from caught up with her and started stabbing her with a knife. The incident happened in Nikole Pasica Boulevard in Leskovac.

Emergency crews tried to resuscitate the victim, but she could not survive the type of injuries inflicted on her.

A local woman who saw the victim before this horrific case of femicide described what happened.

"I heard noise and an argument, and when I turned around I saw a couple arguing, but I didn't know what it was about. After that, the woman started running down the street, I was already far away by then," said the eyewitness.

According to citizens who were present at the moment of the gruesome attack and murder, no one dared approach them. In the confusion and amid the screams of the woman getting killed, passers-by were taking their children away from the street.

"Everything happened in a few moments. We saw a woman running and crying out, and behind her a man with a knife in his hand. There were many people on the street, especially children. Everyone was scared, no one dared approach," said one of the eyewitnesses.

According to unofficial information, Julija Nikolic tried to escape her killer by throwing herself onto a moving car, but it was too late - she passed away next to the vehicle.

The man who was driving that car said that his minor child, who was in with him witnessed the horrific event and had to receive medical assistance because of the traumatic experience.

"The only person who tried to help was a man who was driving along that street, with a child. The woman suddenly threw herself onto his car, he stopped and got out as soon as he saw what was happening. Unfortunately, by the time he reached her, it was too late, she just collapsed. The child who watched all that is in the hospital and will suffer consequences because of that monster," said one of the eyewitnesses.

Dragisa R. has been placed under arrest as the murder suspect in this case.
