President Vucic speaks in Trebinje: "We are ready to invest more than 200 million euros"

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic is today in Trebinje, a town in the Serb Republic (RS, Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina) where he is attending the opening ceremony of the "St. Archdeacon Stefan - January 9" hospital.

While there, Vucic spoke to journalists to say that Serbia has another important investment to make in Trebinje.

"I would like to ask the RS leadership and the leadership of Bosnia and Herzegovina to be open to a huge investment. We are ready to invest more than 200 million euros in the Trebinje Airport. Preparatory works have been completed, we only ask to obtain the necessary permits. Money is not a problem. That would be very significant for the RS and for the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Vucic.

The president added that he believes this would mean turning a new page in terms of Trebinje and Herzegovina's future.

"I would ask all competent authorities to be open to us because that is in the best interest of those who will receive the money as a direct investment. Of course, this is also in the interest of our people, to be better connected, we from Belgrade with you from Trebinje, and any other place," said Vucic.

He noted that this investment is of great importance for the development of the entire region, as well as the RS.

"For me, it's always a great joy when the RS makes progress, when something important happens for the RS. The way you support Serbia in everything we do, equally, maybe more so, we love the RS and wish that it makes progress as quickly as possible," Vucic concluded.
