Minister Ivica Dacic has been in the hospital since February 25, when he was hospitalized due to bilateral pneumonia. According to media reports on Sunday, he should be released from the hospital today.

On the same evening when he was admitted to the hospital, Ivica Dacic was intubated, and remained on breathing support until March 2, when he was taken off the ventilator.

"His current condition is improved, which gives us reason for optimism. What is important is that there's still a lot of work ahead, intensive treatment and application of intensive therapy continue. That is what I will say at this time, while the people who are treating him will explain in more detail during the day," Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar told reporters last week.

On February 25, Ivica Dacic was hospitalized at the Pulmonology Clinic of the Clinical Center of Serbia due to severe pneumonia.
